I am an associate professor of political science in Auburn University at Montgomery’s Department of Political Science and Public Administration where I am also the director of the AUM Poll. My research and teaching interests largely center upon American law and courts, the separation of powers, state politics, and southern politics. My research has been published in peer-reviewed journals such as Political Behavior, Political Research Quarterly, the Journal of Law and Courts, and State Politics & Policy Quarterly. I received my bachelor’s degree from the University of Montevallo in 2011 and my Ph.D. from the University of Georgia in 2016. I began working at Auburn University at Montgomery in 2016.
